| If you want to be in a contest |
|
Most contests are on-the-spot. That means you sign up today,
no later than 10 minutes before the start. Some contests fill
up quickly, and we take the first people to sign up.
(We’ll start taking sign-ups about 20 minutes before
the start. ) Be sure you get there early!
Contests/Competitions are subject to cancellation/change due to weather and/or participation.

| AG-SPERIENCE |
|
New this year - come experience the Ag-sperience in the Red Livestock Barn! Children and adults alike are welcome to visit this award-winning 4-H group in the barn. Participate in several agriculture-related activities that illustrate the importance of farming in our area! It's a fun way for kids of all ages to learn about farming, farm animals and where many of our favorite foods come from. Also visit with all the animals in the barn. |

|
The talent show offers youth in 4-H clubs from Craven, Carteret, Jones and Pamlico Counties the opportunity to showcase their talent in this competition.

Get a close-up look at farm animals. Located behind KidzVille in the Red Livestock Barn. |

| DUNEBUGGY THE CLOWN |
|
Dunebuggy will be featured strolling through the Fairgrounds and at his "Kid's Pedal Powered Tractor Pulls" on the midway every day. Watch this award winning clown juggle on his unicycle, ride in his miniature car or pull pranks on his audience! Come see Dunebuggy's Peanut Circus!

If you've been sitting home, watching American Idol and saying to yourself "I can do that!" this is your chance to stand up and be counted. If you can sing, you belong in this fall's Coastal Carolina Ag Fair IDOL contest. You won't win a big recording contract or appear on national television, but you might be taking home a $100 prize. Another new attraction to the fair this year is the Ugly Truck Contest. Do you have an old "ugly" truck that you would like to enter? This is not a pie baking but a pie eating contest! Who can enter? Open to all fairgoers. Contest will be in the Ag Building at the Red & White checkered table. Come hungry, you'll have your choice of Boston Creme or Chocolate Pie. |

Cheerleading Competition

The contest will be held on the Outdoor Stage, the contest is open to all elementary and middle school age cheerleading squads in Craven, Carteret, Jones & Pamlico Counties. There will be three divisions: elementary, middle school; junior varsity. Come out and cheer for your favorite squad!
